Metals:
1-They are solids such as Iron - copper except mercury is liquid
2- Good conductor of heating & electricity

3- they are malleable or can be hammered

Non metals :

they are solids - liquids and gases

bad conductors of heat and elctricity ( exceot carbon is good conductor of electricity )

they are not malleable ( canot be hammered)
